Some people have a natural talent for making things looks beautiful, like it sprang to life off the the pages of a magazine. Sarah Elizabeth Cleveland of Repertoire - Assistant Services is one of those people. So when she asked me to do the flowers for an upcoming styled shoot for Social South Magazine I jumped at the opportunity!
The shoot took place in historic Forest Park, a neighborhood in Birmingham, AL. (Which also happens to be the neighborhood of my very first apartment. Aw!) The theme that Sarah Elizabeth came up with was "Throwing the Perfect Garden Party", which she translated into the most adorable little tea party. It was a little bit of Alice in Wonderland mixed with a splash of The Secret Garden, topped with good ol' fashioned southern charm.
Inspiration colors included a palette of pastels-- pink, lavender, yellow, blue and purple. Flowers included garden roses (duh!), tulips, ranunculus, succulents, eucalyptus and lots of baby's breath!
