When Christine asked me to design her wedding flowers, I was so elated. She is one of the sweetest and most positive people I've ever met, so I knew that I would really enjoy working with her. Christine and Chase's family live on a gorgeous farm, about 45 minutes outside of Birmingham, which would be the setting for their big day. Christine's vision for her wedding was "sweet southern simplicity with antique accents that capture the essence of home sweet home."
Christine works in event planning, so she had a really clear vision of what she wanted her wedding to look like, which was SO helpful! She spent months collecting antiques and vintage accents to use to decorate the ceremony and reception. The groom even built a rustic doorway to serve as the ceremony entrance-- how cool is that?! For flowers, she wanted lots of whites, creams and greenery with just a touch of blush. She asked that her flowers look earthy and whimsical yet elegant-- a cross between "tight" and "garden and gather".
The Bride's family is from Texas and the Groom's family is from Alabama, so if there's one thing these people are good at, it's SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY. The reception was absolutely overflowing with food, drink, and dessert! An amazing family-style dinner was provided by Chupper Time Catering. (Did I say amazing, cause DANG was it good!) There was a signature cocktail and pass hors d'oeurves for cocktail hour. The cake was made by Olexa's and cupcakes were made by a family friend (there's that southern hospitality again!). Lastly, they served gourmet popsicles from the always delicious Steel City Pops! And EVERYONE was welcome to join in on the celebration. Friends, family, neighbors, event staff, the stranger in front of them in the checkout line-- this family goes above and beyond to open their home and show hospitality to everyone! You could really feel the love at this celebration.
Since the Bride works in event planning, she KNEW she would need to hire a professional wedding planner. (See? Even event planners need wedding planners-- it's THAT much work!) Enter Ann Marie Leveille of Tres Beau Weddings! As always, Ann Marie handled all the details- large and small, and put together a fabulous vendor team. The linens were provided by Decor to Adore. The tables and chairs, as well as the giant tent and romantic cafe lighting were provided by Top Notch Events & Rentals. Entertainment was provided by On-Site Productions. The gorgeous chalkboard program was designed and hand lettered by Ginger Lindsey. The Bride's gown was from Bella Couture. And the beautiful photography was done by Once Like a Spark. Special shout out to my amazing husband, sister, and brother-in-law who helped me design flowers, load, unload, and install! It takes a village, you guys, and I couldn't have done it on my own!
