Not every bride wants a big to-do for her bridal shower. Some prefer a simple, intimate celebration with her closest friends. That is precisely what Kristin wanted for her bridal shower. We had chicken and waffles, mimosas, and of course-- lots of flowers!
The bride's favorite colors are blue and green, but I was very selective on how I wanted to use the blue. This WAS a bridal shower, after all, and it was important to me for it to not come across as a boy's baby shower. So I decided to use an assortment of beautiful blue and green glass to represent the bride's personality.
The shower was in June, so all of the lush Alabama yards were in full bloom. I foraged lots of filler and wild flowers from around town and I paired them with coral garden roses and yellow flame roses to create a nice, warm color palette.
The cool greens and blues in contrast to the warm corals and yellows made some really happy and inviting looking floral arrangements. Even the most simple events become so much more special when you add fresh flowers!
